Devastating fire at city's BTI Premier Plaza doused

A devastating fire broke out at multi-storey BTI Premier Plaza at Uttar Badda in the city early hours today. 

Duty officer of the fire service and civil defence control room Md Mizanur Rahman said, "The fire broke out at the Multi-storey BTI Premier Plaza at 3am and fire fighters doused it after nearly 3 hours hectic efforts."

On information 28 fire fighter units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control at 5.50am, he added.

Fire fighters rescued nearly 120 residents from the building.

No casualties or injuries were reported in the fire incidents

Mizanur Rahman said, "The reason behind the fire could not be known yet. A five-member committee led by Mozammel Haque, deputy director of the fire service of Dhaka division, has been formed to investigate into the fire incident".
