6 killed, 15 injured in Comilla road accident

At least six persons were killed and 15 others injured in a road accident at Jinglatali on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Daudkandi upazila of the district early today. 

Police and hospital sources said the accident occurred as a Comilla-bound bus coming from Nilphamari veered off the highway and fell into a roadside ditch as the driver lost control over the steering around 5am. Five passengers of the bus died on the spot while another succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital.

The injured were admitted to local Gouripur Health Complex. The identities of the dead and injured could be not be ascertained immediately, the sources said.
