Two girls rescued while being trafficked to India

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh rescued two teenage girls from Kaliati village along Baikari border in Sadar upazila while they were being trafficked to India on Thursday night. 

They are Kamrunahar, 15, daughter of Manirul Fakir of Patuakahli and Maya Sultana, 14, daughter of Abul Khayer Mia of Faridpur.

The girls have been kept under the custody of Baikari union parisad chairman Asaduzzaman but the traffickers managed to flee the spot.

Maruf Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Sadar police station, said necessary action would be taken  when the trafficking victims would be handed over to police.
