Sunny Leone to debut in a Bangla film

She will be seen in director Swapan Saha’s next film, Sera Bangali

Karenjit Kaur Vohra, who is commonly known by her stage name Sunny Leone, is about to make her debut in a Bangla film, according to sources.

The pornstar turned B-town actor will be seen in director Swapan Saha’s next film, Sera Bangali, confirmed Kolkata’s Anandabazar Patrika, quoting the director himself. Sunny will appear in an item song in the film.

The Minister Fatakeshto famed director informed that popular Indian dance choreographer Prabhu Deva is on the helm of the choreography of the song, and the shoot with Leone will take place at Mumbai on July 25.

“I needed an item number for my film. My producer has tried hard to convince her to do it and finally it has been possible. We’ll be in Mumbai on July 25 to shoot the number,” said the director Swapan Saha, who has a major number of commercially successful Tollywood films to his credit.

Shakti Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Rojotabh Dutta, Koushik Bandhapadhyay and Laboni Sarker are on the cast list of the film. Sera Bangali is slated to be released during the next Puja festival in India.

Sunny Leone, who also used the stage name Karen Malhotra, has made her Bollywood debut in Pooja Bhatt’s erotic thriller Jism 2 in 2012, and shifted her focus to mainstream acting which was followed up with Jackpot (2013), Ragini MMS 2 (2014) and Ek Paheli Leela (2015).

Recently, Leone raised quite a hit with her mind-blowing appearance and ebullient performance in “Laila”, an item number from Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster Raees.
