Daniel Craig will be seen reprising his role as the iconic spy James Bond 007. Cary Joji Fukunaga has been roped in to direct the 25th Bond film in the series.

Following the exit of Danny Boyle from the James Bond franchise apparently due to creative differences, the film will now be helmed by ‘Beasts of No Nation’ director, Cary Joji Fukunaga.

The makers of the film announced the release date of the film and tweeted, “Michael G.Wilson, Barbara Broccoli and Daniel Craig announced today that #Bond25 will begin filming… on 4 March 2019 under the helm of the director, Cary Joji Fukunaga with a worldwide release date of 14 February 2020.”

Daniel Craig will be playing the role of the iconic British spy for the fifth time. Speculations were doing rounds of his exit after 2015 release Spectre.

The director, who had won an Emmy award in 2014 for directing the first season of ‘True Detective’ and Netflix’s war drama of 2015 ‘Beasts of No Nation’, had also worked in Netflix’s series ‘Maniac’, starring Emma Stone and Jonah Hill.

The film has been slated to hit the theaters on February 14, 2020.
