Winter comes with amazing trends, winter wear, cosy and lazy feel and pleasant weather.

But this beautiful and bright season can also bring along a few health and skin problems. At this time of the year, honey would never fail to work wonders on your health and beauty.

Honey, just as blissful as its texture, is beautifully and flawlessly smooth, which nourishes inside and outside of your body. This miraculously glossy ingredient would get maximum benefits for your fitness and naturally beautiful skin.

Face: Apply some honey on your face evenly and keep it for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse the mask with lukewarm water. Now, simply feel the smoothness and shine on your face.

Lips: Dry and chapped lips is the most common problem that occurs in winters. Honey has antimicrobial and antibacterial properties that help to prevent dryness on lips. It also locks moisture in the skin cells. The anti-inflammatory properties of honey reduce bleeding, swelling and pain caused by cracked lips, leaving them soft and supple. Apply some raw honey on your lips as a layer before bedtime. Rinse with water in the morning.

Hair: The enzymes and nutrients in raw honey give dull hair (very common feature in winter season) a shine without weighing them down. It gives a lustre to your strands that you crave for.

Sun-burn: In winters, your skin is more exposed to sun than in summers because we love to be in the sun most of the time. So, sunburn is common in this season. Honey restores hydration to the deepest layers of sun-exposed skin and it contains anti-inflammatories to calm burnt skin and aid recovery if applied by mixing with two parts of Aloe Vera gel.

Cuticle-care: Cuticles generally start chapping in cold weather. Raw honey is loaded with nutrients and enzymes to nourish and heal cuticles. It draws moisture into the skin. Mix one teaspoon of honey with one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar and one teaspoon of coconut oil. Rub over each cuticle. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes and then rinse.

Cracked heels: Winter season causes more dryness and causes discomfort. Honey is a humectant and moisturises the dry heels naturally. Apply organic honey on cracked heels to get effective results. You can make an excellent foot exfoliator by blending together raw honey, olive oil, apple cider vinegar and coarse rice flour.

Boosting energy: Winter season is a dreaded time when your energy plunges, crushing your productivity and sapping your motivation to work actively. Honey is the best ingredient used as quick fix. Add a tablespoon of honey to eight ounces of warm water and drink every morning for an energy-boosting drink.

Sore throat: Sore throat, cough and respiratory tract infections are few common problems which come along with cold months. Drinking tea or warm lemon water with honey is a time-honoured way to soothe a sore throat.

People widely use this ingredient to get rid of beauty flaws and ailments during cold season. This amazing item has wonderful moisturising, smoothening and healing properties which could make your skin nourished and body strong and fit in no time. Use it daily and get desirable results soon.
