Minni admits her involvement in Rifat murder: Barguna SP

Aysha Siddika Minni has confessed her involvement in the brutal killing of her husband Rifat Sharif, a Bangla online news portal reported on Thursday.
Barguna Superintendent of Police (SP) Maruf Hossain confirmed this while talking to a journalist of the news portal today.
Barguna Police on Tuesday night arrested Aysha Siddika Minni for her alleged involvement in Rifat Sharif murder case after a day-long interrogation at the Barguna SP office in the district.
Police arrested her after day-long interrogation on the same day as her connection into Rifat murder primarily found.
Later, he was placed on a five-day remand yesterday. Barguna Senior Judicial Magistrate Court passed the order after Barguna police produced her before the court with a seven-day remand petition.
Rifat Sharif, 25, an internet service provider, was attacked and killed in a broad daylight by two youths and some others with sharp weapons near Barguna Government College in front of his wife on June 26.
In a video footage, Minni was apparently shown trying to protect her husband during the attack. She was also named as the main eye witness in the case.
Later at night, the victim’s father filed the murder case with Barguna Sadar Police Station, accusing 12 people including prime suspects Nayan and Rifat Farazi. Of them, Nayan was killed in a “gunfight” and Rifat Farazi was arrested later.
