A Dhaka court set November 6 to hold hearing on charge framing in eight cases filed for allegedly committing subversive activities by BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and others.
Today was fixed for holding hearing on the matter, but Khaleda’s counsel pleaded for time, saying proceedings of most of the cases have been stayed by the High Court.
Dhaka Metropolitan Session Judge Imrul Qayes then set the new date, allowing the time plea filed by the defence.
Police filed the cases against Khaleda and others in 2015, and charge sheets were filed in the cases in 2016.
