PM urges countrymen to avoid public gatherings

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina advised the countrymen on Monday to avoid public assemblies to curb the spread of the country's coronavirus infections.
"While holding a cabinet meeting today, the Prime Minister came up with the order," said Secretary of the Health Service Division Md Ashadul Islam who was present at the meeting.
The cabinet meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in chair took place at Ganabhaban.
"Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reiterated during the meeting that Bangladesh has sufficient capacity to tackle the November 2029 coronavirus epidemic," Ashadul Islam said.
Earlier on Sunday, the IEDCR confirmed that three Bangladeshis were infected with coronavirus (COVID-19).
Of the coronavirus infected Bangladeshis, two have recently returned from Italy and are being treated at a hospital in the capital while a family member of one of the two is the third person affected with the virus.
