No new coronavirus case detected for second day in Bangladesh

During the last two days no new patient has tested positive for COVID-19 during Bangladesh, keeping the total number of confirmed cases in the country at 48.


Prof. Meerjady Sabrina Flora, director of the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), announced the details at a virtual press briefing on Sunday.


Meanwhile, four more patients in the past 24 hours have made full recovery, she said.

"The IEDCR and BITID have checked 106 samples in Chattogram in the past 24 hours. None of them is positive," she said.


Coronavirus, first identified in China in December of last year, affects 199 countries and territories worldwide, as well as two international transports.
