3 more die of coronavirus, 549 new cases detected in Bangladesh

Three more people died from coronavirus in Bangladesh, bringing the death toll in the country to 155 in the last 24 hours till Tuesday.

In addition, over the period 549 more people tested positive for coronavirus, bringing the number of such cases to 6,462 in the country.

Additional Director-General (Admin) of the Health Services Directorate-General (DGHS) Prof Nasima Sultana announced the latest death and infection figures in a regular online newsletter on the coronavirus situation in Dhaka Tuesday afternoon.

The overall recovery number has risen to 139 as a further eight people have recovered, she added.

In the last 24 hours, several coronavirus testing laboratories across the country, tested 4,332 samples, she added.
