Covid-19 death toll tops 200, cases crosses 13000

Bangladesh has reported seven more COVID-19 fatalities over a 24-hour period, raising body count to 206.
In the 24 hours to Friday morning, the number of officially confirmed cases of coronavirus grew by 709 to 13,134.
Prof. Dr. Nasima Sultana, Additional Director-General of the Health Services Directorate (DGHS), disclosed the details in the regular online health newsletter held on Friday afternoon at the Management Information System (MIS).
Several coronavirus research laboratories across the country have screened 5,941 samples in the last 24 hours, she said.
Some 191 more patients diagnosed with coronavirus have been released from different hospitals after complete recovery from the highly infectious disease in the past 24 hours, she added, adding that a total of 2,101 have returned to their homes after full recovery from various hospitals.
