7 female hijackers handed over to police in Gazipur

Locals caught red handed seven female hijackers while snatching away a necklace from a woman at Rajendrapur intersection here on Friday and handed over them to the police. 

Police and locals said the seven hijackers in guise of passengers boarded a Chandana Chowrasta bound human hauler, locally called Leguna, at Rajendrapur intersection. 

As the vehicle coming from Kapasia left Rajendrapur, the hijackers snatched away a gold necklace from one woman passenger. Hearing hue and cry of the passenger the locals intercepted the human hauler and caught all the seven women hijackers with gold chain. 

Later, the hijackers were handed over to the police with the necklace. 

The female hijackers are Ayesha Akhtar (40), Jahanara Akhtar Jahnu (23),Sumi Akhtar (25), Kulsum (20), Shilpi (20), Taslima Begum (40),and Nasima Begum (45),police said. 

SI Nazmul Islam of Hotapara Police outpost under Joydevpur police station said the hijackers confessed to the snatching of gold chain from the woman passenger.
