RAB rescues 2 abducted school girls in Ctg

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-7 after 16 days of abduction rescued two school girls from Pahartali area of the city on Thursday night.

The victims were identified as Fatema Akter, 14 and Soma Debonath, 14, both class eight students of Nasirnagar Govt. High School, under Bramnbaria district. 

A band of kidnappers abducted them on their way to school on July 27 last, RAB sources said. Sajib Mia, father of a victim lodged a diary with Nasirnagar thana on July 31 last. 

On receipt of information, a team of RAB-7 rescued the two girls from city's Pahartali area at 10pm last night. 

The victims were handed over to their respective families.
