3 female rescued while being trafficked to India

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) rescued three teenagers from Rudrapur border in Sharsha upazila of Jessore district on Monday night while they were being trafficked to India.
Those rescued are: Nupur Akter, 14, daughter of Abul Kashem, a resident of Chourasta village in Nandail upazila of Mymensingh, Fatema Akter, 15, daughter of late Alam Miah of Kawrakandi village in Daudkandi upazila of Comilla, and Salma Akter, 14, daughter of Abul Kashem, a resident of Nurichakandir village in Brahmanbaria district.
A BGB team being tipped-off conducted a drive in the area at night and rescued the three teenagers when they were being trafficked to India through the border, said Sharsha police officer in-charge Maniruzzaman, report news agency UNB.
However, sensing the presence of the border guards, the members of the human trafficking gang fled the scene.
