2nd edition of Sheikh Hasina's "Nirbachita Probandha" hits Ekushey Book Fair

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's new book "Nirbachita Probandha" (selected essays) hit this year's Amar Ekushey Book Fair, earning a huge response as well as wider acceptability from the readers since all copies of its first edition were already sold.
"In response to the huge demand for the book, Agamee Prokashani, the publisher of the book, has brought out its second edition to put on display in the Ekushey Book Fair today," owner of Agamee Prokashani Osman Gani told BSS.
He said the book, which was published on the first day of the Ekushey Book Fair, got huge response from the readers and all copies of its first edition were sold by noon of February 21. "We published the second edition of the book for the book fair today," Gani added.
The book comprises Sheikh Hasina's 13 thoughtful articles published at different times on contemporary politics in Bangladesh.
After publication of the book, a copy was handed over to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the inaugural function of the book fair on the premises of Bangla Academy on February 1.
The book is now available at Agamee Prokashani at pavilion No. 13 of the book fair, being the price of each copy at Taka 350. Emeritus Professor Rafiqul Islam has written the book's introduction, while Anwar Farook designed the cover of the book.
In the introduction, Prof Islam said the life and expectation of the people, the Prime Minister's prolonged struggle, prudent politics and her various visionary works for the country's development have been placed in all the 13 articles of the book .
"As an essayist, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina demonstrated unique statement of the politics which is avowal of the people," he said.
In a press release, Agamee Prokashoni said a joint statement of a patriotic political leader, a humanist woman and a conscious writer was narrated in the 13 articles.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is the "champion of democracy" and she thinks deeply about the human being upholding the fact that the "mankind is above all".
Her loud voice has brought all the freedom-loving people under a single platform of unity when the democracy was at stake and humanity was in utter distress.
She has projected her prudence, leadership and success in struggle, movement and tales of glory as well as the main goals in development for the larger segment of the people.
Agami Prokashani earlier published the collections of 13 articles by Sheikh Hasina. Those include "Sheikh Mujib Amar Pita" (Sheikh Mujib my father) and "Sadakalo" (black-white).
Besides, her books "Living in Tears," "People and Democracy," "Democracy, Poverty Alleviation and Peace" and "Democracy in Distress Demands Humanity" have been reprinted.
