PM mourns death of Mijarul Quayes

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed deep shock at the death of Bangladesh Ambassador to Brazil and former foreign secretary Mohamed Mijarul Quayes.
In a condolence message, the premier prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
Quayes died at a hospital in Bras¡lia on Friday night, a Foreign Ministry spokesman told BSS.
"Mr Quayes, who was admitted to the hospital several days ago for ailments, breathed his last at the hospital at 9 pm (Brazil time) on Friday," the spokesman said.
