Modi says he and Hasina determined to take bilateral ties to new level

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday said he and Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina are determined to take the relationship between the two nations to a new level.

"(Bangladesh) PM Sheikh Hasina and I are determined to take the relationship between our nations to a new level," Modi tweeted welcoming Sheikh Hasina to India.

The Bangladesh PM arrived in New Delhi today on a four-day official visit at the invitation of her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.

It is Sheikh Hasina's maiden official visit to India after her present government was voted to power through the January 5 elections in 2014.

The Bangladesh premier last visited India in January 2010, which was reciprocated by her Indian counterpart in June 2015.
