BNCC officials offer Fateha at Dr Wazed's grave in Pirganj

High officials and members of Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC) offered Fateha at the grave of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's husband and noted nuclear scientist Dr M A Wazed Miah here today.
After reaching at birthplace of Dr Wazed in Laldighee Fatehpur village under Pirganj upazila, the BNCC officials and members led by its Director General Brigadier General SM Ferdous visited paternal house of Dr Wazed and 'Joy Sadan' and took part in a brief discussion held there on the life and deeds of the nuclear scientist.
Dr Wazed's nephews including Vice-president of district Awami League (AL) Chhayadat Hossain Bakul and Pirganj Municipality Mayor Tazimul Islam Shamim, Brigadier General SM Ferdous and AL leader Rashek Rahman took part in the discussion.
Pro-Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Professionals Captain Dr Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah, Ramna Regiment Commander of BNCC Lieutenant Colonel SM Salahuddin, its Mohasthan Regiment Commander Lieutenant Colonel KM Imam Ahsan, Adjutant of 4 BNCC Battalion Major Somen Kanti Barua, Adjutant of 9 BNCC Battalion Major Sabbir Ahmed, Adjutant of 23 BNCC Battalion Flying Officer Shamsuzzaman, Adjutant of 33 BNCC Battalion Major Mobasser Hossain Chowdhury and Adjutant of 34 BNCC Battalion Major Harun Ar Rashid, were present.
Later, Moulana Bayezid Bostami conducted rituals of 'Ziayart' at the grave of Dr Wazed and offered special munajat along with the BNCC officials and members there seeking eternal peace for the departed soul of the renowned nuclear scientist.
They also sought eternal peace for the departed soul of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and prayed for continuous well-being of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Sajeeb Wazed Joy, Saima Wazed Putul and their family members.
Later, the BNCC officials and members visited Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) and took part in a views-sharing meeting with Vice-chancellor Professor Dr AKM Nurun Nabi there.
The meeting elaborately discussed about opening of the new BRUR unit of BNCC in near future.
General Secretary of Rangpur city AL Tushar Kanti Mandal was also present in the meeting.
