BGB ‘gunfight’ kills 1 in Teknaf

A woman suspected to be a drug trafficker was killed and four others injured in a 'gunfight' with members of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on the Naf river of Teknaf upazila in Cox’s Bazar Wednesday night.
BGB Cox’s Bazar sector commander Colonel Rakibul Haque confirmed this to Prothom Alo on Thursday morning.
BGB and hospital sources said two women and two men were also injured in the incident. BGB also recovered contraband yaba tablets from the spot.
