Fugitive militant of Hizb-ut Tahrir held in Adabor

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) last night arrested a member of banned militant outfit Hizb-ut Tahrir in Adabor of Dhaka.
Tamal Uddin, 40, was arrested by a team of Rab-2, Firoz Kawsar, operation officer of the elite force, told The Daily Star this morning.
The detainee was involved in recruiting members for Hizb-ut Tahrir and distributing leaflets of the banned militant outfit, the Rab official said.
Tamal used to live in a rented house in the area, he added.
He is a fugitive in a case filed with Mohammadpur Police Station in 2014 under Anti-Terrorism Act, the Rab official said.
