Banani rape: Cops allowed for forensic test on mobiles of Shafat, Sakif

A Dhaka court today allowed police to carry out a forensic test on mobile phones and another electronic device of Ahmed Shafat and Shadman Sakif, two accused in Banani double rape case.

Metropolitan Magistrate of Dhaka Md Delwar Hossain passed the order after investigation officer of the case Inspector Ismot Ara Ame filed an application seeking permission to conduct the forensic test on two mobile phones and a power bank.

In the prayer, Ame, inspector of the victim support centre, said the test is necessary for further investigation.
