Sec 144 imposed in Langadu after Jubo League leader dies

The local administration of Langadu upazila in Rangamati district has imposed section 144 in the area following the death of a local Juba League leader on Thursday.
The local Bangalee community has alleged that indigenous people had killed him, which they have strongly denied.
The deceased Juba League leader, Nurul Islam, is the organisational secretary of sadar union Juba League. He used to give people ride on his motorcycle in exchange for money.
Upazila Juba League president Shafiqul Islam said, “Two indigenous people rode Nurul’s bike on Thursday and he had been missing since then. Later his body was found on Friday morning.”
He also accused the indigenous people for killing Nurul Islam.
