PM pays homage to Bangabandhu on AL's 68th founding anniversary

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at his portrait in front of Bangabandhu Memorial at Dhanmondi-32 in the capital this morning marking the 68th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Awami League.
Sheikh Hasina first placed a wreath as the prime minister at the portrait of the greatest Bangalee of all time and stood there in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memories of Bangabandhu.
Flanked by senior leaders, she laid another wreath at the portrait of the great leader as the president of Bangladesh Awami League.
Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu, Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, Agriculture Minister Begum Matia Chowdhury, Housing and Public Works Minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, Awami League Presidium Member Advocate Sahara Khatun and other central leaders of the party were present on the occasion.
