4 charged with raping Garo girl in Dhaka

Police today pressed charges against four accused in a case filed for raping a Garo girl in Dhaka’s Uttar Badda in October last year.
The four accused are: Rafsan Hassan Rubel, the key accused, Salauddin Mina, Al Amin and Emran Khan.
Of them, Rubel is in jail, Salauddin is on bail, and two others are on the run.
Shahinur Rahman, a sub-inspector of Badda Police Station and also investigation officer of the case, submitted the charge sheet to the court of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sheikh Hafizur Rahman.
Rubel confessed to his involvement before a magistrate with raping the girl in November, 2016.
The 18-year-old indigenous girl was raped after she went to visit her fiancé on October 25, 2016 in the capital’s Uttar Badda area.
