PM unveils book on Bangabandhu’s prison life

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today unveiled the cover of a book on the prison life of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
She unveiled the cover of the book titled “3053 Days” at the outset of the regular cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister’s Office here this morning.
Earlier, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan handed over the book to the premier.
The book has been published under the management of the Prison Directorate and the supervision of the Public Security Division of the Home Ministry.
It contains numerous rare photographs and information on the prison life of Bangabandhu which the Prison Directorate collected through researches.
Earlier, Bangla Academy published a book titled ‘Karagarer Rojnamcha’ (Diary in Jail), the second autobiography of Bangabandhu last year.
With the funding of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Bangla Academy published the 332-page book on the occasion of the 98th birthday of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on March 17 last year.
In the book, the Father of the Nation particularly described events and experiences of his imprisonment from 1966 to 1968.
