Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that her mother could take right decision in right time.
The Prime Minister said “ My mother told to my father before the 7th March Speech that you sepeak wthatever in your mind. Now, Unesco has recognised the historic 7th March Speech of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as part of the world's documentary heritage.”
The premier said this on Wednesday while delivering her speech on 88th birth anniversary of her mother Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib, wife of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
“My mother had skill like intelligence. When my father was in jail, my mother collected secret news from Awami League leaders and activists over country situation and informed to my father when she met with him in jail,” she said.
“She was very simple, kind and also very talented. She could manage any hard situation.”
Bangamata Fazilatunnesa, who played a pivotal role in nation building activities and the struggle for independent Bangladesh staying beside Bangabandhu, was born at Tungipara village of Gopalganj district on this day in 1930.
Bangamata, a pride of the Bangalee nation, was assassinated brutally with Bangabandhu and most of her family members by a disgruntled group of army officers on August 15, 1975.
