Jashore woman ‘strangled to death’

A woman was allegedly strangled to death inside her residence at Rajanigandha area in the town on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as Kalpana Begum, 37, who was living with her two daughters at a rented house after separation with her husband Kazi Polash.
On information, police recovered the body from the house around 8pm and sent it to Jashore General Hospital’s morgue for autopsy said officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station Apurba Hasan Kalpana adding that the victim might have been killed by suffocation.
There is also some speculation that Kalpana’s killing might have been a sequel to extra marital affairs, the OC said quoting locals.
