Prime Minister and Leader of the House Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday hinted again at not holding any political dialogue with BNP.
“Reaching the touch of development to the village level is our big achievement. Who did huff here or whose sulk I will go to break I don’t know that,” she said.
The prime minister made the comments responding to a supplementary raised by Jatiya Party lawmaker Fakhrul Imam whether the government will take any initiatives for minimizing differences or breaking huff of anybody during the question answer session in the House.
Recalling the incident of not allowing her to enter the Gulshan office of the BNP leader after the death of Khaleda Zia’s younger son, Sheikh Hasina said: “I can say I’ve no intention to be insulted again while going to show any sympathy.”
“There is no question of political huff here, rather it’s a question of political policy and decision and the law as well,” she said.
While talking about Khaleda Zia who is now in jail on corruption charge, Sheikh Hasina said anybody does injustice and embezzles orphans’ money or commits murder or grenade attack or hurls petrol bomb, he or she will be tried and it’s natural.
The Leader of the House said the country witnessed tremendous development in the last 10 years as her government selflessly worked for the welfare of the people.
“No other government made such development in the past as personal and group interest was there,” she said.
The prime minister said she does not consider her personal gain, rather “I consider how much we could serve to the people.”
“I don’t make account whatever we got and didn’t get … we are developing the country as we work today with utmost sincerity and our development is up to the rural level,” she added.
