PM Hasina to see Padma Bridge construction progress Saturday

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will visit the Padma Bridge site on Saturday to see progress of the construction work and inaugurate the railway link, the permanent riverbank protection and four innovation projects.

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader revealed the information to the reporters after a preparatory meeting at Banani Setu Kartripakkha Bhaban in the capital on October 2.

He said the time of the completion of the Padma Bridge construction will be known in the last week of the current month.

Quader, also the general secretary of Awami League, said 59 percent of the overall work of the Padma Bride project has already been completed while 70 percent of the main bridge has been finished.
