Elderly woman among 2 found dead

Police recovered the bodies of two people, including that of an elderly woman, in Rajbari and Sylhet districts early Saturday.

In Rajbari, a throat-silt body of Nurjahan Begum, 70, wife of late Belayet Hossain, was recovered from her house in Danga Hatimahan village of Baliakandi upazila around 4:00am.

On information, police recovered the body from her house and sent it to sadar hospital for autopsy, said Ajmal Huda, officer-in-charge of Baliakandi police station.

In Sylhet, the body of a young man was recovered from a paddy field in Khasirchak village in Zakiganj upazila after he had gone missing two weeks back.

The deceased is Mizanur Rahman Khakan, 18, son of a certain late Jamal Uddin of the village.

Informed by locals, police recovered the body buried in the paddy field, said Habibur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Zakiganj police station.

The body was sent to MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
