SSC candidate commits suicide in Sylhet

A Secondary School Certificate (SSC) candidate committed suicide after faring bad in her first two exams at Jaintiapur, Sylhet on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Tasmina Begum, 15, daughter of Fayjul Haque of Telijuri village here.
Family members said Tasmina committed suicide by hanging herself from a beam in her bedroom around noon as her first two exams did not go well.
There was no other reason behind the suicide, they added.
On information, police recovered the body and allowed the burial to proceed following the request of family members and locals, said Md Mainul Zakir, officer-in-charge of Jaintiapur police station.
