Nusrat was set on fire on madrasa principal’s order: PBI

Feni madrasa student Nusrat Jahan Rafi was set on fire as per the “instruction” of the madrasa principal Siraj Ud Dowla, Police Bureau of Investigation chief Bonoj Kumar Majumder said today.
PBI has so far arrested 13 people for their alleged involvement in the killing and of them, five masterminded the murder, Bonoj Kumar, also Deputy Inspector General of police, said at a briefing at its PBI’s headquarters in Dhanmondi.
A day before the arson attack on Nusrat, one of the accused Nur Uddin met Principal Siraj Ud Dowla at the local jail, the PBI chief said.
Upon the instruction of Siraj Ud Dowla, Nur Uddin arranged a meeting at the madrasa’s hostel around 9:00pm on April 5, he added.
Of them, eight people have been named accused in the case, said Bonoj Kumar Majumder at the briefing.
