Bangladesh to become Asia's largest economy by 2030: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday said Bangladesh will be the Asia's largest economy by the year 2030 and there will be no poor people in the country.
“The country will achieve the double digit GDP by the fiscal year of 2023-204. Bangladesh’s per capita gross national income (GNI) will exceed $ 2000 within a few days,” she said.
The Prime Minister made the remarks while inaugurating a regional seminar on 'Financial Literacy and Investment Protection' at a city hotel.
She also said, “Awami League led government has set up 100 economic zones. There is an opportunity for foreign businessmen to invest there. It will create more than one core jobs for the people. It will also contribute to increase the export earnings.”
