Revenue collection surpasses by Taka 3,052 cr till May 2016: Muhith

Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith today said the revenue collection of the government has surpassed by Taka Tk 3,052 crore as against the target of Taka 1,29,902.39 crore till May in the current fiscal year 2015-2016.

“The revenue collection target for the fiscal 2015-2015 was fixed at Taka 1,50,000 crore and as per a provisional account Taka 1,32,954.21 crore was collected till May as against the target of Taka 1,29,902.39 crore, ” he said while replying to a question from treasury bench member Tipu Sultan of Barisal.

The minister informed the House that the government has adopted various measures for achieving its revenue collection target and the average revenue collection growth was increased by 2.37 percent till May 2016.

He said the government has formulated the budget implementation plan (BIP) and is monitoring its progress regularly for achieving the revenue collection target. 

Besides, the minister said, an Annual Performance Agreement (APA) was signed for monitoring performances of the officials.
