A short stint of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt in Dhaka

Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt was in Dhaka for a shortest period of time yesterday (Thursday). He came here for the logo unveiling program of the “Bangabandhu Cup Golf Open 2019”, an Asian Tour Professional Golf Tournament.
The function was held at the Banquet Hall of Kurmitola Golf Club in the capital around 4:00 pm on Thursday afternoon. The Indian actor graced the programme as the main attraction.
In his speech at the function he said, “I came to Dhaka for a few hours several years back at a product launching function. I noticed a far difference between the then Dhaka and today’s Dhaka. A huge development works has been taken place.”
In his short span of staying in Dhaka, the film actor has also met with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence, Ganabhaban in the capital.
During the meeting, Sanjay Dutt handed over a number of photos of an Indian cultural delegation that visited Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members immediately after the Liberation War of 1971.
Professional golfers from America, Europe, Australia, Africa and Asia are expected to compete in the tournament from April 3- 6 at the Kurmitola Golf Club, under the supervision of Bangladesh Golf Federation with the cooperation of Asian Tour.
Some 40 professional and promising golfers from Bangladesh including six amateurs will get the opportunity to compete directly in the meet, sponsored by National Bank Limited.
