At the eleventh hour of last year, the shooting of the film Gangchil, directed by Nayeem Imtiaz Neyamul was began in Nokhali.
Popular actress Dilara Hanif Purnima is in the lead role of the film.
During the shooting, Purnima met with a scooty accident, but the shooting was still taking place. Then, the shooting of the film had been postponed after the sudden illness of Road Transport and Bridges’ Minister Obaidul Quader, the script writer of the film.
Now the shooting of the film has been scheduled to begin after Eid-ul-fitr, said the director of the film.
Talking about the shooting of the film Neyamul said, “As the story of the film is based on the novel Gangchil written by Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader and he is one of the big figures in the country, we were at a loss with his sudden illness and we stopped the shooting of the film.” “Now, he is in good health and has returned among us. And finally, we are all taking preparations to complete the shooting of the film right after Eid-ul-Fitr”, he added.
On the other hand, Purnima said, “I have learned how to operate scooty for the shooting of this film, and while driving the Scooty, I had met with an accident. And after the sudden illness of Obaidul Quader we stopped the shooting of the film. Still, we were trying to complete the shooting on time. We will resume its shooting right after Eid-ul- Fitr.”
