Bobita celebrates Eid with underprivileged children

Renowned film actress and Distressed Children & Infants International-DCII’s goodwill ambassador Farida Akhter Bobita celebrated Eid festival with some underprivileged children on Monday.
She has passed a quality time with the children in her residence at Gulshan in the capital. Bobita’s sister film actresses Shuchanda and Champa were also present on the occasion.
More than 40 destitute children have enjoyed with Babita.
They have passed very cheerful and fun time with these three actresses. These children also sung ‘O Mon Romjaner Oi Rojar Sheshe’, ‘Sraboner Meghgulo’ and others songs for their favourite actresses.
Bobita, Shuchanda and Champa were very delighted by their performances. They also have taken part with the kids.
Bobita said, “I have arranged this type of programme for underprivileged children before on my birthday and Eid also. I feel very blissful around them. These children are very talented and intelligent. They have entertained us by their singing and dancing. I am very overwhelmed by their respect and love.”
Bobita have been working for DCII as their goodwill ambassador for a long time. Not only Bangladesh she has also worked for underprivileged children in abroad.
DCII is a US based non-profit organisation established at Yale University in 2003 and currently headquartered in Cheshire, Connecticut. DCII currently supports initiatives for children in Bangladesh, India, Nepal, and Nicaragua.
It works to accomplish its mission through five core programmes: its flagship “Sun Child Sponsorship” Programme, Healthcare for the Underprivileged Programme, Orphan Support Programme, Blindness Prevention Programme, and its “Journey for Rights and Sight” – an ongoing series of awareness-building events throughout the United States and beyond.
