Hillary Clinton called US president elect Donald Trump today and conceded defeat, reports US networks.
Earlier, Clinton's campaign manager, John Podesta, made it clear that the Democratic candidate will not meet with thousands of supporters at her campaign headquarter in New York.
Asking the gathering to return home, he said, " Several states are too close to call, so we are not going to have anything more to say tonight. It's been a long night, and it's been a long campaign. But I say, we can wait a little longer, can't we?"
Earlier, sources in Clinton's team said that she had a victory and a concession speech ready.
