14 killed, 152 injured during Myanmar's water festival

At least 14 people have been killed and 152 others injured during this year's Myanmar water festival in connection with criminal cases as of Saturday, an official report said Monday.
The 147 cases included car accidents due to drunk driving, rape, stealing and group fighting, said Myanmar-language Myanma Alin Daily.
This year's traditional Thingyan water festival ran from last Thursday to Sunday.
During last year's Myanmar water festival, a total of 36 people were killed and 316 others injured.
