UN assures Bangladesh of full cooperation on Rohingya issue

President of the United Nations General Assembly Miroslav Lajčák has assured Bangladesh of full cooperation in solving the Rohingya crisis.
Dr Dipu Moni, chairperson of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, and Miroslav Lajčák sat in a meeting at the UN headquarters in New York, according to a press release issued yesterday.
Bangladesh fully supports the vision and priorities adopted during the 72nd UN general assembly, Dipu Moni was quoted as saying in the press release.
"At this moment, the ongoing situation in Myanmar is a special consideration and issue of concern for the United Nations and global community. Bangladesh's direct experience and recommendation will help the international community in solving the Rohingya crisis", Miroslav said.
