4 labourers killed in Gazipur road crash

Four labourers were killed and 14 others injured in a road accident in Gazipur on Sunday morning.
The deceased are Renu Miah, 27, Farid, 25, Masud, 30, and Farid, 27, all residents of Kalmakanda upazila in Netrakona district, reports UNB news agency.
Sub-inspector Chandan, in-charge of Ulukhola police camp, said the accident took place around 8:00am when a Netrakona-bound pickup van with 20-22 labourers onboard turned turtle after hitting a roadside tree at Ulukhola in Kaliganj upazila, killing four on the spot.
The injured were taken to the upazila health complex from where eight were referred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital as their condition deteriorated.
