A total of 96 per cent disabled women fall prey to mental, physical, and sexual violence in Bangladesh.

Seventy eight per cent disabled women became victim because they cannot fight back.

This came from a seminar titled 'disabled women's access to judiciary system', organised by Disabilities Development Foundation on Saturday.

This statistics has been taken from secondary sources.

Bangladesh National Human Rights Commission chairman Reazul Hoque said nobody is playing their role, not even the human rights commission.

Bangladesh National Woman Lawyers' Association (BNWLA) executive director Salma Ali said the cases filed in connection with disabled women should be given priority over other cases.

Speakers at the seminar recommended a directive for dealing with disabled women's cases in women and children repression prevention act.
