PM calls on President at Bangabhaban

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina made a courtesy call on President M Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban here yesterday.
"Sheikh Hasina apprised the President of the outcome of her recent visits to India and Bhutan," President's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS after the meeting.
Besides, the flash-flood induced damages in haor districts and subsequently the initiatives taken to cope with consequences of the disaster was also discussed during the meeting, he added.
Hasina reached at Bangabhaban at 7:30 pm. On her arrival, the Prime Minister was received by President Abdul Hamid. On April 18, 2017, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina went Bhutan for a three day official visit.
Earlier, on April 7, 2017, the premier went to India on a four-day official visit at the invitation of her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.
Secretaries concerned and high officials of both the President and Prime Minister's offices were present.
