PM Hasina is a role model in leadership: Riva Ganguly

Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Riva Ganguly Das Said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is a role model in the world as an icon of women empowerment in her country.

Riva Ganguly came up with this applauding, while inaugurating a girls’ hostel at Sangsaila Adibasi School and College in Niamatpur area of Naogoan on Tuesday.

She said, “We have to consider women as human instead of ‘women’. At present, women are equally working with shoulder to shoulder in the workforce.”

Food minister Sadhan Chandra Majumdar was present in the inaugural ceremony as chief guest.

Sadhan Chandra said, “Indian-Bangladesh friendship will remain the same as it was at the time of liberation war in 1971.”

MP Salim Uddin Tarafder (Naogaon-3), Deputy Commissioner Mizanur Rahman, Police Superintendent Iqbal Hossain, Indian High Commission First Secretary Nabanita Chakraborty were, among others, were persent at the ceremony.
