PM for the rapid implementation of four important projects

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Sheik Hasina directed the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs to quickly implement its four major projects, including the Swadhinota Stambha Building (3rd Phase) project at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan.
"I want these (projects) to be implemented soon," she said, witnessing a power-point presentation at the city's Prime Minister's Office about the four projects.
The other three projects were–Insolvent Freedom Fighters House Construction Project, Mujibnagar Independence War Memorial Construction Project and Bangladesh City 360 Degree Panorama.
"Measures will have to be taken to maintain these properly (the structures of memorials to be built under the projects)," said the Prime Minister.
The 7th March Speech Memorials and 16th December Surrender Memorial will be installed at historic Suhrawardy Udyan under Swadhinota Stambha Reconstruction (3rd Phase) Plan.
Two statues–Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheik Mujibur Rahman's 18-foot sculpture and another about the Pakistani soldiers ' surrender scenario–will be placed at the two memorials.
Implementation of the Tk 265.44 crore project began in January 2018 and progress in implementation is 30%.
Under the Insolvent Freedom Fighters Housing Construction Project, 14,000 one-storey homes will be provided to insolvent freedom fighters as gifts from the Prime Minister before Bangabandhu's birthday celebration in 2020.
Every 900-square-foot house named' Bir Nibash' will be constructed at a price of Tk 15.75 lakh on four decimals of land.
The housing project will be implemented at Tk 2,253 crore's total estimated cost.
In order to spread knowledge about the Liberation War, Mujibnagar Independence War Memorial Complex Construction Project will be implemented at the historic Mujibnagar in Meherpur.
The current memorial complex is now built on 81.76 acres of land, but the development of the newly designed memorial complex would entail the purchase of an additional 49.27 acres of land.
The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs will initiate a project to build Bangladesh's panorama to lift the Liberation War scenario before the people, but the construction location has yet to be decided.
Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, PM Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Adviser Dr Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, PM Security Adviser Maj Gen (rtd) Tarique Ahmed Siddique, PM Farhad Hossain, former Health Minister AFM Ruhal Haque, PM Chief Secretary Md Nojibur Rahman, PMO Secretary Sajjadul Hassan, PM's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim and Chief Architect of the Architecture Department ASM Aminur Rahman.
Also present were eminent painter Hashem Khan and Dean of Dhaka University's Fine Arts Faculty Prof Nisar Hossain, who are involved in the first project, while Liberation War Affairs Secretary In-Charge SM Arifur Rahaman presented the projects.
