Prime Minister will address the nation on January 7

According to media reports, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will address the nation on January 7, marking the end of the first year of her government in power after the national election of December 30th, 2018.

Bangladesh Television, Bangladesh Betar, as well as private TV channels and radio stations will air the PM's speech at the same time that day.

After the Awami League won the December 30 elections with an absolute majority, Hasina took office oath for the third consecutive term on January 7.

For the first time in 1996, she was elected Prime Minister and returned to power in 2008.
