PM pays homage to Bangabandhu

On Saturday, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid rich tributes to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the great leader and greatest Bengali of all time, by placing wreaths on his portrait at Dhanmondi-32, as tribute to the historic 7th March.
At 7:00 am, the Prime Minister laid a wreath on the image of the great leader in front of the capital's Bangabandhu Memorial Museum.
At the time, for some time, the Prime Minister observed silence expressing gratitude for Bangladesh's Liberation architect Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Sheikh Hasina later, accompanied by senior and central Bangladesh Awami League leaders, placed another wreath on Bangabandhu's portrait, paying homage on behalf of the party.
Later, the members and employees of the affiliate bodies of Awami League, including Awami Jubo League, Chhatra League, Mohila Awami League, Sramik League, Krishak League, Jubo Mohila League and Swechchhasebok League, also paid homage to Bangabandhu by placing wreaths at the occasion of his portrait.
On this day in 1971, through his historic speech, Bangabandhu made a clarion call to the people to fight against the forces of the Pakistani occupation to attain the long-searched liberation.
