Highest Number of positive cases with five more deaths in Bangladesh

Five more people died from coronavirus in Bangladesh in last 24 hours till Monday, bringing the country's death toll to 182.

In addition, overall confirmed cases stand at 10,143 as over the duration 688 more people tested positive for coronavirus.

This is the biggest single-day surge in cases so far since Bangladesh first identified the virus on Mar 8.

Prof. Dr. Nasima Sultana, Additional Director-General of the Health Services Directorate (DGHS), published on Monday afternoon at the Management Information System (MIS) in the daily online health newsletter.

A total of 1,210 patients recovered from the virus so far in the country as new 147 recovered in last 24 hours, she said.

In the last 24 hours, several coronavirus testing laboratories across the country, tested 6,260 samples, she added.
