Couple held with arms, ammos in Domar

Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-13) arrested a couple with a foreign origin pistol, six rounds live bullets, two magazines and two mobile phone sets from Rail Ghumti area in Domar upazila of Nilphamari on 17 june, official sources said. 

Acting on a tip off, members of the Crime Prevention Company (CPC)-2 of Nilphamari RAB-13 Camp conducted a raid there and seized the illegal arms and ammunitions and arrested the couple red-handed this morning. 

Acting Commander of Nilphamari RAB-13 Camp and Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mahmudul Hassan led the operation. 

The arrested persons are Nur Islam, 35, and his wife Rokeya Begum, 25, of village Barobisha under Bamunia union of Domar upazila in Nilphamari district. 

Deputy Director of Nilphamari RAB-13 Camp Sarwar Hossain handed over the arrested couple along with seized arms and ammunitions to Domar Thana after filing a case against them in this connection this afternoon.
